Annual subscriptions can be allowed as a tax deduction. NADPO has been added to HMRC’s list 3 of approved bodies (ID 28403) that can be accessed here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/professional-bodies-approved-for-tax-relief-list-3/approved-professional-organisations-and-learned-societies.

The process for making a personal claim for tax relief on annual subscriptions paid to an approved professional body can be followed here Claim tax relief for your job expenses: Professional fees and subscriptions – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).  Please note that only individual members employed within the field of Data Protection or Freedom of Information  (or employed in a role connected to the field of Data Protection or Freedom of Information) in the UK will be entitled to claim tax relief under section 344 ITEPA 2003 on the annual subscription they pay to the NADPO.

You can also send us a Purchase Order or indicate an intention to raise a PO via our website in which case you will be sent an invoice to be paid later either by revisiting our website to make an online payment as described above, or  by making an offline payment via BACS or by sending us a cheque. Offline methods do not directly update your membership record on the website, so please also inform us by email so that we can reconcile the payment (we need your email address to link the payment to your NADPO membership account).
