NADPO is controller of personal data you submit when booking a place at our annual conference. We can be contacted using the email address
info@nadpo.co.uk
Personal data submitted to us when you book a place at our annual conference is processed only to secure a place for NADPO members, or for those non-members who wish to purchase a place, and for the purposes of planning refreshments for the day.
Our legal basis for processing is that it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests, and, in the circumstances, these are not outweighed by the freedoms, rights and interests of those who wish to book a place.
It is possible that one could infer from your dietary choices one or more of the special categories of data. Quite honestly, the law doesn’t provide an obvious condition to permit such processing. Nonetheless, we take the view that it is more important to allow you to express your preferences here, than to seek to shoehorn a condition that is not appropriate into the legal framework. But, let us say that when you express this preference you are giving us explicit consent to process that specific personal data.
We will pass the your personal data to Mishcon de Reya LLP, who are providing us with the venue for the annual conference, and who require the details for security purposes on the day. Mishcon de Reya LLP will not retain your personal data after the annual conference.
No personal data will be transferred to a third country or international organisation.
We will retain your personal data provided to us for the booking only for as long as we need to review who attended the conference, for our organisational information and future planning.
You have the right to request from us access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing. You also have, in principle, the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner.
