About us

The National Association of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officers is a professional body that represents individuals or organisations that deal with data protection law; the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations; the Freedom of Information Act; and and the Environmental Information Regulations.

Our members include information governance practitioners from the public, private and voluntary sectors, across a number of disciplines, including information governance practitioners, administrators and lawyers. We are a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers and we keep our prices low to enable as many colleagues, particularly in the public and third sectors to remain involved.

We aim to raise and promote high standards in the field of information rights by bringing together information rights professionals to share knowledge, discuss good practice and learn from subject matter experts.

NADPO also acts as a professional advisory body to other groups, including government agencies.
